Welcome to StudyPolar, an innovative AI learning product designed to transform your content into an interactive and personalized learning experience ("Service"). This Service is provided by StudyPolar ("we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy, accessible here. Please read these Terms carefully before using our Service.

1. Service Overview

StudyPolar offers both a free version of our product and a paid subscription model that provides increased limits and additional features. The Service allows users to personalize and interact with content in new and engaging ways.

2. Subscription and Fees

The free version of StudyPolar offers limited access to features and capabilities. Users can subscribe to a paid version of StudyPolar for additional benefits and increased limits. Subscription fees and specifics will be provided at the time of subscription.

Paid plans renew automatically unless you cancel them.

Apple App Store subscriptions

If you purchase a subscription through the Apple App Store, your purchase is subject to Apple's terms and conditions, including the Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which is the end user licence agreement ("EULA") that governs your use of the StudyPolar iOS app.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the plan you chose.
  • After purchase you can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your App Store account settings.
  • Any unused portion of a free trial period, where one is offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Google Play subscriptions

If you purchase a subscription through Google Play, your purchase is subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Payment is charged to your Google account, the subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel it in your Google Play account settings at any time.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep this information updated. You are responsible for safeguarding your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. User Conduct

Users of StudyPolar are expected to use the Service responsibly. The following are strictly prohibited:

  • The use of profanity in edited text or in any content generated within the Service.
  • The upload of photos or content that incite violence, contain nudity, or are otherwise deemed inappropriate.

Violations of these conduct guidelines may result in suspension or termination of your account.

5. Content Ownership

Your content stays yours, and it is private by default. StudyPolar does not claim ownership of any study material you upload. Your uploads are visible only to you and are never published, shared with other users, or made public by us.

You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to store, process and display your content solely for the purpose of operating the Service for you — that is, generating practice questions, summaries and explanations from your material and showing them back to you. This licence exists only so that we can run the Service, it grants us no other rights, and it ends when you delete the content or your account.

We do not sell or license your content to third parties, and we do not use it to train artificial intelligence models — ours or anyone else's. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail, including the third-party processors involved.

Questions, summaries and explanations generated by the Service are produced by an AI model and may contain errors. They are a study aid and should not be relied upon as a substitute for your course material.

6. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service if you are found to be in violation of these Terms, including but not limited to, breaching user conduct rules.

You may close your account at any time, and doing so deletes your content from our systems. See Delete your account for the steps and for what happens to your data.

7. Dispute Resolution

If you have any disputes or concerns regarding the Service, please contact us at hello@studypolar.com. We will make every effort to resolve your concerns.

8. Limitation of Liability

StudyPolar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.

9. Amendments to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. You will be notified of any changes through the Service or via email. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
